  • On this day, devotees get up early during the sunrise, take a bath first, and start their day.
  • After the bath, devotees should pray, keep dhoop and offer fruit prasad to Lord Vishnu idol. Devotees should listen to Vishnu Sahasranama and read Narayan stotra on Jaya Ekadashi to get blessings from Lord Vishnu.
  • Devotees who keep fast on Jaya Ekadashi do not eat or drink anything for the whole day. Some people start the fast on the 10th day (Dashmi) after sunrise.
  • Devotees who do not or cannot keep fast drink water and take only fruits on Jaya Ekadashi.
  • People who fast on Jaya Ekadashi open their fast on the 12th day (Dwadashi).
  • People who keep fast should meditate and worship Lord Vishnu. They should keep themselves calm and do not inhale or exhale negative thoughts.
  • On the next day (Dwadashi), devotees offer prasad to God and visit the temple. They give food to Brahmins only after that they open their fast.
