When it comes to celebrating and praying the God, Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated in a detailed manner. Preparation and different rituals are included in it, which reflect the devotion of the community. Here is how the families and communities prepare for this respectful festival.

The celebration starts by bringing home or installing the idea of Ganesha in the homes, Pandals, or temples. The idol is beautifully decorated and treated as a special guest in the household.

Public places or homes are thoroughly decorated with lights, flowers, and several other colorful decorations.

It involves a series of steps that are performed with great devotion and daringness to tradition.

After this, it is important to add on the idol with garland, and a tilak, along with making several other offerings like flowers and fruits.

The Puja starts by sprinkling a few drops of water on the idol and along with offering fresh flowers. Recite Ganesha mantras, such as "Om Gan Ganapataye Namah," to invoke his blessings and invite his divine energy.

The mixture is offered to Ganesha as an act of devotion as it symbolizes the most essential five elements. Mark with Kumkum and Chandan paste as it symbolizes auspiciousness and reverence.

You need to light Adiya in front of the idea as it symbolizes the removal of darkness and ignorance. Sing Ganesha Aarti and several other devotional songs to honor the day, which is often accompanied by clapping or drinking bells.

Once the Puja is complete, devotees need to distribute Prasad among family members, neighbors, and Friends as a mark of communal sharing.
